8. One Time
After rebranding as UEFA Champions League 

2012: Chelsea Football Club also known as Chelsea F.C. won the 57th annual European Cup in 2012. The final was took place in Germany between Bayern Munich and Chelsea which was won by Chelsea by 4-3 in the penalty kick match. Chelsea is a London based English professional football club which was founded on 10th March 1905.

1997: The 42nd season of the UEFA Champions League was won by Borussia Dortmund in 1997. In the final match, Borussia Dortmund beat the Juventus by 3-2 which is the top-performing team of the event. The club is a German-based professional sports club which was founded on 19th December 1909.

1993: The final of 1992-93 UEFA Champions League was played between Marseille and Milan which was won by Marseille by 1-0. Olympique de Marseille is a French professional football club which was founded on 31st August 1899. Remember that European Cup was rebranded as UEFA Champions League in 1992 and this was the first edition of the UEFA Champions League.

1991: Red Star Belgrade also known as Red Star is Serbian based professional football club was founded on 4th March 1945, won the 36th European tournament in 1991. In the nail-biting final match, Red Star club beat Marseille on penalty kick 5-3.

1988: The 1988 European Cup won by Philips Sport Vereniging which is known as PSV Eindhoven. PSV is Netherlands based professional football club founded on 31st August 1913.

1986: Steaua Bucuresti was the winner of the 31st season of the premier European club football tournament. Fotbal Club FCSB also known as FCSB beat the well known Spanish Club Barcelona by 2-0 in a penalty kick match. It was founded in 1947.

1983: Hamburg is a German sports club was the winner of the 1982-83 European football title. Hamburger Sport-Vereine.v. was founded on 2nd June 1919 in Hamburg. The final match was played in Olympic Stadium, Athens and Hamburg won against Juventus by 1-0.

1982: Aston Villa Football Club based in Aston, Birmingham is an English professional football club that was founded on 21st November 1874.  Aston Villa beat Bayern Munich by 1-0 in the 1981-82 season.

1970: The Feyenoord Rotterdam is a Netherlands based professional football club which was founded on 19th July 1908. Feyenoord won the 1969-70 season which was played in Milan. The final match was played between Celtic and Feyenoord club.

1967: The Celtic Football Club also known as Celtic F.C. was the first British club to win the European Cup in 1967 and also remain the only Scottish team to do so. Celtic won its first title after beating Internazionale club in the final by 2-1. The Glasgow based Scottish professional football club was founded on 6th November 1887.

7. Two Times

Futebol Clube do Porto simply Porto is Porto based Portuguese professional sports club founded on 28th September 1893. Porto won the UEFA finals two times against Bayern Munich and Monaco in 1987 and 2004 respectively.

In 1979 and 1980 Nottingham Forest won the European Cup two times consecutively. Nottingham Forest Football Club which was founded in 1865 is an English professional football club based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.

In 1995, Ajax lost the final match against Juventus by 2-4 in penalty kick match and Juventus won its second title. This is only one club that loses the UEFA finals seven times.

The Old Trafford, Greater Manchester-based football club is the world’s third most valuable football club in 2019, valued 3.15 billion pounds. In 2016-17 the club was the highest-earning football club with a revenue of 676.3 million pounds annually. It is the second English football club which won the European Cup three times i.e. 1968, 1999 and 2008. In the 13th European Cup final, Manchester United beat Benfica by 4-1 and won the trophy first time. In 1998-99 Bayern Munich lose the final match against Manchester United by 1-2 and the English club won the title the second time. The third time, in 2007-08 UEFA final, after a nail-biting match, Manchester United beat its same national club Chelsea in a penalty kick match by 6-5.

Inter Milan is a second Italian professional football club that ruled over the European Championship three times in 1964, 1965 and 2010.  Football Club Internazionale Milano is one of the most valuable football clubs in Italy and as well as in the world. Inter Milan was founded on 9th March 1908 in Milan, Lombardy. In 1963-64 Inter Milan won its first-ever title after beating Real Madrid by 3-1. After winning the first title Inter Milan won its second title consecutively against Benfica in 1964-65. In 2009-10 Bayern Munich lost the final match against Inter Milan by 0-2.

In finals, Ajax beat the Panathinaikos by 2-0, Inter Milan by 2-0, Juventus by 1-0 and Milan by 1-0 in 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1995 respectively.

Real Madrid is the most winning football club and won the title in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. This is only one club in the said league who won five consecutive seasons. The annual revenue of the club is 757.3 million Euros which is the second highest-earning football club in 2019. The estimated worth of 118 years’ older club is 3.8 billion Euros (4.2 billion dollars).
